Who are we?

I'm passionate about cars, particularly flagships. Specifically those with four rings or a Flying B and 12 cylinders (the two you see above are mine). There’s something very artful and historical about the existence of these cars. The culmination of a century of engineering and craftsmanship, mixed with materials mankind has dug out of the ground to produce a comfortable apparatus that can willfully propel a human, their colleagues and enough luggage for a weekend getaway across continents at 200 miles per hour. The obvious choice for a manufacturer wishing to provide speed and exoticism is the low slung supercar. When drama is allowed to mask the lack of practicality or luxury it becomes easy to create a vehicle that can provide the means. What is not simple, is to do so while simultaneously offering the kind of coach building approach that has long since died in the automotive world, giving way to mass produced transportation appliances. Stamped out with the same amount of passion and ceremony as a pair of socks. No, the flagship sedan and GT are truly the most impressive breed. Matching the athleticism of most supercars, doing it against a stacked deck provided by the laws of physics and with an optional champagne cooler and humidor.

If you feel the same way then you probably own a W12- if you don't then you probably want one- and this club is for you. You've probably noticed the site is a little sparse at the moment. There's many more sections currently under construction and will roll out over the next few weeks, including pictures and videos, rare parts for sale, a sizeable catacomb of facts and specs for every model that has been powered by VAG's W12 and more.

For now I am launching the site as a landing page for information about the W12 Owner's Club's first annual summer meetup. I truly hope to see you there and I'm looking forward to being part of a community that gives these world class flagships the appreciation they deserve as exotics in their own right.

See you on the road.
